  7. To hear Sound in LORD you must be calling the BBS with RIPterm 2.2, the
  8. BBS must be using LORD FX, and the Waves (all, part, or your own custom
  9. waves) must be present in the same directory as your LORD "Icons".
  10. Some sounds will play automatically, with the "button" FX only playing
  11. with a mouse click.

  13. Many of the Standard Waves I've included with the game were uploaded by
  14. some of my users or modified from other sorces...
  15.  
  16. The Standard Wave Archive FXWAVES.ZIP contain all the sounds used by
  17. the FX Sound System and all the doors, games, and add-ons that use it.
  18. One archive of sound for multiple games...
  19.  
  20. Due to the nature of the way Waves work with RIP 2 you can customize
  21. the sounds you actually hear, and there will cetainly be "Alternate"
  22. wave archives available soon! You can easily customize your own sounds..
  23. Here's how you do it.... simply find the replacement wave you want to 
  24. use and rename it as one of the FX*.wav files that are used in the game.

  26. For example: If you prefer to hear a different music than the standard
  27. Waves...rename the *.WAV you want to hear to FXRIF1.WAV (as kind of an
  28. Intro), FXRIF2.WAV (as kind of an exit), and FXRIF3.WAV (as kind of a
  29. fight rythm)... For other sounds just look at the file names I've given
  30. them... I've tried to make the names somewhat reflect where they appear.
  31. *special note: be sure the waves you use are not excessivly long because
  32. it will most certainly make the sound a bit choppy...
